Previous British Broadcasting Corporation Advisers Face Members of Parliament's Inquiry After Assertions of Partiality in Unauthorized Memorandum

Ex- British Broadcasting Corporation advisers appearing at MPs

We start with queries from Tory Member of Parliament the committee chair, that leads the panel.

She initiates by providing context to the leaked memo written by Michael Prescott and published in a national newspaper.

"I do not desire the British Broadcasting Corporation leaning toward one side or the other, I simply desire it straight, fair and fair," he declares.

In response to a query whether he considers the BBC is systematically partial, the adviser replies: "Absolutely not. It is important to note, a great deal the British Broadcasting Corporation produces is top-tier - including documentary and fictional programming."

However, he continues: "There exists real work that requires attention at the British Broadcasting Corporation."

Another previous consultant British Broadcasting Corporation specialist interviewed by the committee, Caroline Daniel, remarks she views the BBC very seriously and that it maintains a "continuous process and vigorous discourse" on evolving and intricate issues.

"Whether the BBC was ready to engage in a thorough dialogue and exchange and act accordingly?" she questions. "In my view, indeed, they were."
