Former President Donald Trump revealed on Sunday that he has asked the family of a Guard member fatally shot last week to visit the White House.

He noted that he spoke to her parents and they were “devastated”.

Specialist Beckstrom, twenty years old, was lost her life in a violent incident on last Wednesday in Washington DC.

Her colleague, Andrew Wolfe, 24, remains hospitalized in serious condition.

The commander-in-chief stated he’s talked about a White House visit for the loved ones of both soldiers of the state National Guard.

“I stated: ‘When you’re ready, because that’s a tough thing, visit the White House. We’re going to honor her,” the president informed reporters. “And similarly with Andrew, no matter the outcome.”

Attendees came together over the past few days at Webster County high school in the state to honor Sarah.

Both they had been fulfilling duties with the state guard as part of the president’s national effort to aid public safety in Washington DC.

“Sarah was the type of pupil that educators wished for. She conducted herself with calm resilience, a warm expression and a positive energy that lifted those around her,” Jarrod Hankins, the leader of her former high school, told the media. “She was kind, caring and always ready to help others.”

Service arrangements for Beckstrom are in the process of planning.

Law enforcement have accused a twenty-nine-year-old individual from Afghanistan with one count of homicide and two counts of violent assault while carrying a weapon.

Wolfe, a native of Martinsburg, started his military career in early 2019 and is a graduate of his local high school, as reported by the Associated Press.

Beckstrom, from her hometown, completed her education from her high school in 2023 and began her service not long after, working as a MP with distinction, as stated by the military.

“She had a lot of kindness and she definitely had courage,” he informed the crowd at the memorial. “Though her time was cut short, she has left a mark that’s going to be remembered always.”
