Eulogies Flow for Rob and Michele Reiner as Autopsy Reports Are Sealed.

Well beyond 14 days after the tragic deaths of esteemed film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community continue to honor the couple.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Posting on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, explained he finally felt ready to post publicly about his deep grief.

"Adequate time has gone by that I can at last articulate my loss into words," posted Elwes, saying that his initial encounter with Reiner left him smitten. "When we commenced sharing more moments together I knew this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor posted never-before-seen clips from the movie, commenting that he cannot recall "a single day without mirth".

"The film is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Things that Rob valued immensely. That is part of the many reasons he was the best person to direct it," Elwes wrote.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, stating: "Claiming that they were a formidable pair would be an understatement. My heart still pangs every time I recall you." He concluded with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Friend and Collaborator

In a different essay, legendary director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the lead role.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked beautifully with his co-stars, and he understood the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese added.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Sealed

This week, a Los Angeles judge ruled to prevent the disclosure of the Reiners' autopsy reports, following a petition from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A legal directive issued a embargo on the cases to prohibit the public release of "related notes, documents, files or images" connected to the active case.

The Medical Examiner's office had already determined their deaths were the outcome of foul play, with a record listing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Aftermath and Reactions

In the wake of the killings, public figures shared divergent comments.

Former President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, offering divisive statements that were broadly criticized by many public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his perspective to the critics last week. Speaking on his podcast, Rogan labeled the comments as "disturbing" and remarked they demonstrated a concerning deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan concluded by proposing that an adviser ought to have stepped in when the impulse to comment on the passing was made.
