A American-Palestinian youth who spent a nine-month period in Israeli detention without being charged gained freedom.

The teenager Mohammed Ibrahim had just turned 15 at the time of his arrest this past winter throughout the West Bank territory, while he was vacationing from his Florida home for allegedly throwing stones against settlement residents, claims he consistently denied.

American diplomatic officials applauded the teenager's freedom.

Mohammed, now 16, required hospitalization right after being freed, according to close relatives.

According to them, he appears showing signs of malnutrition, while battling health issues contracted in captivity.

Through an official statement, Mohammed's uncle expressed the family's "tremendous relief".

Family member Zeyad Kadur described how relatives endured "enduring a dreadful, continuous nightmare" throughout the past nine months.

"Currently, our priority is getting Mohammed prompt healthcare he needs after being subjected to harsh conditions and brutal treatment for months."

US officials announced ongoing to extend consular services to Mohammed's family.

{"The Trump Administration considers paramount to the protection and welfare for United States citizens"," the department emphasized.

Several congressional representatives had signed a letter to diplomatic officials and the White House, urging greater action to release him.

Mohammed's parent, with four children managing a frozen treats business based in Tampa, previously claimed his son only confessed to throwing stones because the soldiers beat him.

The father hadn't visited nor direct contact following the detention, learning information solely what had happened to him via legal paperwork.

The teenager remained without charge at Ofer detention facility throughout the occupied territory.

It is also home to grown detainees, some of whom have been convicted of serious terrorism offences including killings.

There are around several hundred young Palestinian detainees detained within Israeli facilities, per correctional service statistics.

Numerous remain uncharged and human rights groups, and international organizations, document cases involving physical abuse and torture.

Following Mohammed's release, the uncle stated they would maintain their efforts demanding accountability for their family member their cousin Sayfollah.

This young American-Palestinian who the Palestinian health ministry said was beaten to death by settlement residents following tensions in July.

During that period, military authorities reported authorities were looking into accounts of a Palestinian had died.

Both young men had worked together in the family ice cream shop in Tampa, Florida.

No one has been charged with Sayfollah's killing.

"We demand United States leadership to ensure our family's safety," Mr Kadur said.
